The top Good News story last Sunday was the price of gas, and the good news has gotten even better.
Last Saturday, Dec. 13, the price of a gallon of gasoline in Jefferson was $3.33, 16 cents less than the previous Monday.

The price of gas is still sliding downward…. all the way to $2.14 Saturday afternoon, Dec. 20.

According to the news website inquisitr.com, AAA-Texas estimates that lower gas prices will save consumers more than $400 million, and that some consumers are saving as much as $60 to $80 a week with the less expensive cost of fuel.

Whether or not gas will cost less than $2 a gallon is source of disagreement among experts, but most are saying it will stay in the $3 range for much of 2015. Happy, happy!
